YNPN Boston stands in solidarity, grief, anger, and hope with our Black communities. We honor the lives of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and all we have lost to police violence and racism. Our hearts are heavy. Our anger is valid. Our grief is real.
YNPN Boston condemns racism and these resultant senseless killings. We must prioritize racial justice and anti-racism in every facet of our lives. While our mission is to provide support and resources to young professionals, we know that, to truly develop, we must continuously examine our power and privilege, be strong advocates for progress, and collectively envision a more just and equitable society for all.
We know that words are not enough and we must take action. YNPN Boston will be sharing more about our recommitment to equity and racial justice in the coming weeks. We urge you to demand accountability from your colleagues, politicians, community leaders, and within your own workplace. Support national and local organizations working towards racial justice.
In Solidarity,
The YNPN Boston Board
