Meet the YNPN Boston Leadership Team
Sue Li, YNPN Boston Co-Chair
Members of the YNPN Boston Leadership Team play a vital role in helping to develop a stronger, higher impact nonprofit community in the Boston area. Being part of the Leadership Team also provides members with unique opportunities to grow their personal and professional networks while increasing their technical and leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As we recruit new members for the Leadership Team, we are excited to introduce you to some of our current members who are sharing what being part of the YNPN community means to them. Sue Li is Co-Chair of YNPN Boston, who works as an Associate Director of Recruitment at Year Up. Below, Sue tells us more about her involvement with YNPN Boston.
What made you decide to join YNPN?
I wanted to have a community and network in the nonprofit sector.
What do you like most about being an LT member?
My favorite part is getting to know the other LT members, and those relationships last way beyond the YNPN year. I am still in touch with many former LT members.
How has serving as an LT member helped to advance your professional goals?
It gives me a chance to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone. In my previous role as the Co-Director of P&E, I had a chance to lead a team. Now as the Co-Chair and who does programming during the day job, I couldn’t be more grateful to gain the development skills and lead the Chris Herron PD grant cycles this year.
