Meet the YNPN Boston Leadership Team

Members of the YNPN Boston Leadership Team play a vital role in helping to develop a stronger, higher impact nonprofit community in the Boston area. Being a part of the Leadership Team also provides members with unique opportunities to grow their personal and professional networks while increasing their technical and leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As we recruit new members for the Leadership Team, we are excited to introduce you to some of our current members who are sharing what being a part of the YNPN community means to them.James George is co-chair of the YNPN Boston Board, who works as a business systems manager at Reach Out and Read. Below, James tells us more about his involvement with YNPN Boston.
What made you decide to join YNPN?
I decided to join YNPN because I wanted to learn from and connect with other motivated young professionals in my local community.
What do you like most about being a Leadership Team member?
I really enjoy getting to know my fellow Leadership Team members. I always feel like I learn a lot from the perspectives, resources, and opportunities that they share. I also really like connecting with the wider nonprofit community through professional development and networking at our events and programs!
How has serving as a Leadership Team member helped to advance your professional goals?
As a Leadership Team member I have learned new skills, built strong relationships, and gained insights into the Boston nonprofit community. I am able to speak to skills and experiences that I have gained through my YNPN Boston work.
